I was finally able to get a copy of the August 2007 magazine so I’ve scanned the article for anyone that isn’t able to get a copy (or a clear copy) of it!
It’s great seeing my pictures in print in a magazine! Too bad they didn’t use the other kimono pic as I liked it more than the one that was printed. Ah well, can’t win them all!
WOOOHOOO! The pictures I took for a Pinky St. article that Mandy/Junket’s wrote is featured in the Haute Doll August 2007 issue! Go look for it at your newsstands now! I, myself, have not seen the article so I don’t know what pics are featured. I will now post the pics that I submitted for the article so let me know which ones made the cut, if you have seen the article!
Ok, I was able to fix the problem with the blog so now it’s back up and running!
ARGH! Ever since I upgraded this blog to the latest version of Wordpress, it won’t post my entries correctly! Anytime I post with images, it won’t show the images but only the code, even if I am hosting my pics! I can’t even select what categories to put them in.
Dammit! This is why I HATE upgrading! The next upgrade that comes out, I’m going to get it and never change after that!
Until then, this blog will be closed temporarily.
Tokidoki is one of the coolest sites on the web! I was so excited when they started manufacturing figures out of their adorable characters!
I’m going to try to update this blog with the other miniature/figures that I’ve posted on my Flickr account. I was finally able to get more Ichigo Marshmallow figures when they were back in stock at Play-asia.com. Fortunately, I got each for $4.50 as opposed to the outrageous amount they go for on Ebay.
I totally love these figures as I can’t get enough of the anime series. I wish they would make more episodes!
I felt like taking some quick Re-ment pics today. It take so long to set up the stuff as they are so small and require delicate handling sometimes.
Some new figures I received more than a month ago. I just hadn’t gotten around to uploading them here. Enjoy!
TAKK of TAKK Modeling Records in Japan is looking for Pinky owners to submit pics of their Pinkys with glasses to add to their site! If you have any pics, do submit them! They must be 800×1200 (or vice versa) in size in order to submit them. I sent several already which will be posted on the site by the 20th of this month. You can view the website here:

Here are some new ones I took today and submitted!
You’re probably wondering how the Peto-san figures hold up to the Pinky St ones. Here are some pics to illustrate the differences:

Peto-san figure with Pinky St. Peto-san are just a tad shorter.

Peto-san with Ichigo Marshimaro figure. Ichigo Marshimaro figures are taller than Pinky St. Both Peto-San and the Ichio figures were made by the same company, it seems.

Like the Ichigo Marshimaro figures, Peto-san heads have the same ball-joint action to make it easier to tilt/pose their heads. In a way, I wish Pinky St. figures had this.

I forgot to take a pic of the back of the head. As you can see, Peto-san and Ichigo have the same head setup with regards to how the hair is attached to the head. Both heads are hollow. In some respects, this is good as you don’t have your figures falling over because the hair is so heavy and not helping balance the heavy head that Pinkys have. But then, the heads feel flimsy compared to tought Pinky heads.
So how do these figures work with Pinky bodies and vice versa?
Peto-san heads on Pinky bodies are ok but Pinky heads on Peto-san bodies just look wrong! I do prefer Pinkys to Peto-san but the heads sure are cute!
